Renegade Craft Fair (we're back)!

We're back from the Renegade Craft Fair in Chicago!

Huzzah for us! It was a rocking time. Also very exhausting.

The booth was way crowded. We shared a booth with the always charming Polaire who had a stunning array of cute bags and totes, and Chris Schons, who not only impressed folks with his rapier wit but also with his handsome prints.

And although they couldn't be there for most of the fair, we also had stuff from both Belle Tulip (sorry, no link), who had delicate hand-made jewelry on display, and Chris Crammer also had some delightfully cute stuffed animals (aka ity bitys).

Thanks to everyone who stopped by and gave us a thumbs up!

And no thanks to the hotel who turned us away because of our diabetic cat...

Call for submissions! We're making another book! This time it's a recipe book that contains the favorite desserts of a bunch of artists and designers. "Hello, Sweetie" is a compilation of illustrated recipes from artists and designers across the country.
We're looking for the cutest, rad-est, neatest, tastiest recipes we can find.

Each submission chosen will be printed in a hand-made japanese bound book. Artists will have their work featured as a full page spread within the book and have their contact information published in the index ( so other creative types can contact you! ).

Minneapolis SlideLuck Potshow

The SlideLuck PotShow is May 19th at 7:00 pm at the Casket Arts Building, 681 17th Ave NE, in Studio 414.

If you're out taking advantage of the NE Annual Open Studios Tour this year, be sure to stop by and check it out.

It should be a rocking show of deliciously shared food and delectably displayed artwork.

Hey DG fans,

adam H was recently flipping through an issue of Clutter Magazine and found an ad for the Do It Your Mole. adam H and Chris immediately began working on Moles in hopes of getting published in the next issue of Clutter. Unfortunately adam H is horrible with deadlines and it seems the mag is coming out sooner that he expected. So, check out Chris and adam H's awesome Moles that won't be appearing in the next Clutter. Better luck next time guys.

Chris' artwork is used as the banner in the newest "issue" of access+ENGAGE. I can't seem to link directly to it (I think you have to subscribe to see it all in it's full glory) but you can take the first step of your access+ENGAGE journey here.

Access+ENGAGE is a free e-newsletter created by mnartists.org (a joint nonprofit project of the McKnight Foundation and the Walker Art Center). It's a twice monthly publication that currently has about 10,000 subscribers.

If you are not a member of mnartists.org, you should be. Assuming you are an artist and living / working in Minnesota.

And if you are not a subscriber to access+ENGAGE, you should be. Assuming you like art and stuff.

The Opening is August 26th, 7pm-Midnight. If you know Density, you know it'll be rocking party. You know we'll be there cutting a rug or two. Maybe more. An indeterminate number of rugs will be cut, to be honest.

Post St Paul Craftstravaganza!

Drawl Graphic held it down this Saturday at the St. Paul Craftstravaganza, a Rouge Art and Craft show.

Our booth was located next to the cosmically linked Polaire, the show was a cool blast of awesome right in the middle for the summer's heat.

If you didn't make it, it should be there next year, so don't sleep on it.

We just got back from a week-long jaunt in New York City....

The highlight was the Brooklyn Renegade Craft Fair, in McCarren Park. We were one of many awesome participants who set up shop in the blazing heat of Brooklyn for a weekend.

Our booth was looking nearly as pretty as we were.

The whole event was a blast. Special thanks to Polaire (Isara pictured above, with Drawl Graphic's very own Chris), with whom we shared a booth.

Polaire = Awesome.

There were tons of amazing artists who had their goods on display, so if you missed it, be sure to be there next year. Come with a bottle of cold water and a fat wallet (and you'll leave with both empty, I'm sure).

Anyone on our home turf, make sure to stop by the Craftstraviganza Rouge Art and Craft Show Saturday, July 8th, in St. Paul, where we'll be representing Midwest style.

Drawl Graphic Presents: Black and White Book Volume One has arrived from the printers! Get one this weekend at the Renegade Craft Fair in Brooklyn, where it will make it's star studded debut (note : Drawl Graphic does not guarantee any stars will be present)!

Cue Hallelujah chorus.

This 60 page book features the work of Henning Koczy, Dave Crossland, Eric Timothy Carlson, Alex Soto, Jesse Riggle, Andrew Tunney, Ryan Kelly, Will Staehle, Mark Wasyl, Kelly Brown, Rebecca Dahlquist-Eckhoff, Kristen Mccabe, Nic Skrade, Brian Kelly, Gretchen Thayer, Ryan Michlitsch, Joie Allen, Jenny Gheduzzi, Tania delRio, Charlie Burt and, of course, Adam, Chris and Lindsay (aka Drawl Graphic).

The edition is limited to 100 copies, and once they're gone, they're gone.

Although Drawl Graphic is holds it down in South Minneapolis, we'll be representing at Lori Henson's lovely studio in the California building (fifth floor, 2205 California Street NE). It's #500 on the 5th floor!!! Take the elevator!

We've got apparel, buttons, cards and fun.... Some of it hasn't even made it to the website yet! Be the first kid on the block to check it out! Show those non-cool kids how cool you are!

BLACK AND WHITE MADNESS...

Alright... we've kept it a secret for long enough.
We've combined forces with a ton of ridiculously talented artists to create
BLACK & WHITE BOOK vol. 1
a 60 page masterpiece filled to the brim with black and white works of art.
Our purpose in making this book was to harness the powers of many people --whose art rocks our socks off-- and asked them to contribute a piece or few to be published.

St Paul Craftstravaganza!!

We're excited to announce that we're going to be attending the

St Paul Craftstravaganza!.

We're going to be sharing our stuff on our home turf this summer-- July 8
at the State Fair "Merchandise Mart" building.
The show will be all day, 8am til 4pm!

Brooklyn: Renegade Craft Fair!

It's a long way off-- but we're planning our NY trip to participate at the Renegade Craft Fair in Brooklyn this summer.
The tentative dates are JUNE 17 & 18 in Williamsburg.

Thanks to our good friends at Polaire, (Chris and Isara,) we'll be hanging out and kickin' back while we share our wares with the world. We're always looking for another reason to head to New York, so we jumped at the chance.
If you're in the area, feel free to check out our merchandise. We'll have more updates when it gets closer!
